关于 Miguel Bacigalupe

Miguel is an Associate in our antitrust, competition, and trade practice based in Washington D.C. He assists clients with civil antitrust litigation, cartel investigations, and merger control. 

Prior to joining Freshfields, Miguel clerked for Judge Michael S. Nachmanoff at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. Before clerking, Miguel worked at another global law firm, advising clients on matters involving international trade policy; customs and import controls; and compliance issues related to U.S. export controls and economic sanctions. 

At Columbia Law School, Miguel served as academic coach and teaching assistant for various doctrinal courses such as civil procedure, contracts, and property law. He was a member of the Immigrants' Rights Clinic and externed at the U.S. Court of International Trade and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Miguel also served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Columbia Business Law Review, where his Note on international trade was published.  

Prior to law school, Miguel lived in Guatemala as a Peace Corps volunteer and worked in wind energy logistics in Argentina and Brazil. 

Miguel is a native Spanish speaker. He is also fluent in French, Italian, and Portuguese.
