David represents clients in complex commercial disputes, criminal and civil fraud actions, and bankruptcy litigation.
He also works with companies and individuals in criminal and civil investigations conducted by the US Department of Justice, the Attorneys’ Office, the Securities and Exchange Commission and various other regulatory agencies.
David assists clients in a broad array of contexts, including jury trials, proceedings pending before federal and state trial and appellate courts, and as debtors and creditors in bankruptcy proceedings (including in adversary proceedings and contested matters). He has worked in all stages of litigation, from initial investigations to trial, and has handled matters involving a wide-range of substantive legal areas including antitrust, bankruptcy, business torts, contract, ESG, ERISA, intellectual property, licensing and earnouts, mergers and acquisitions, RICO, securities, structured finance, Section 1782, and valuation claims.
Additionally, David has significant experience representing financial institutions and corporations from countries of the former Soviet Union, as well as US companies engaged in business in the region, on their litigation and regulatory exposure in the United States.
David speaks English and Russian.

- London Stock Exchange Group plc and FTSE International Limited in a AAA/ICDR commercial arbitration concerning an alleged breach of a non-compete, in which the tribunal dismissed claims, valued in excess of $500M, against our clients and ordered the opposing party to reimburse a substantial portion of our legal fees;
- Palantir in cross border proceedings in Delaware, California and Germany in asserting and defending various business tort and contractual claims. Obtained favorable settlement on eve of trial;
- Next Fifteen Communication Group in a more than $300 million business tort and breach of contract action brought by a former shareholder of a company that Next Fifteen acquired;
- DAZN Ltd. in a $270 million tortious interference dispute against professional boxer Canelo Alvarez, relating to a licensing agreement;
- Rio Tinto in climate change litigation, including claims of greenwashing, pending in US federal court in Puerto Rico;
- An international financial services sector company in connection with a State Attorney General Investigation into its Net Zero Commitments;
- numerous global corporations in managing their exit from the Russian Federation, including resolving litigation pending in numerous fora; and
- numerous financial institutions in seeking dismissal of clawback claims arising from the Madoff Ponzi scheme as barred by the presumption against the extraterritorial reach of US-law, including before the US Supreme Court.
