关于 Hager Sameh

Hager is an associate in our Dipsute Resolution practice based in Frankfurt. She specializes in both commercial and investment arbitration. Hager advises and represents clients from various sectors in complex arbitration and litigation proceedings, both domestic and international. She has extensive experience in representing clients in post M&A arbitrations.

She is an Egyptian German qualified lawyer, who studied in Berlin with a focus on Public International Law and European Law. Prior to joining our Frankfurt office, Hager completed a three-month traineeship in the disputes practice of our New York office. Hager is fluent in German, Arabic and English.

Hager's experience includes:

  • A leading international manufacturer of staellite equipment against a Russian company in proceedings before the Berlin Higher Regional Court to determine the admissibility of the arbitral proceedings. The dispute arises out of the breach of the arbitration agreement between the parties, as the Russian company had initiated proceedings before Russian state courts;
  • A leading pharmaceutial company in an award annulment proceeding before the Bavarian Higher Regional Court;
  • A leading Japanese manufacturer in a post-M&A DIS arbitration initiated against a purchaser of a divested business. The arbitration involves multiple contractual claims and counterclaims intertwined with European antitrust issues and multiple European jurisdictions;
  • A leading pharmaceutical company in a post-M&A DIS arbitration relating to an earn out mechanism tied to the development of a machine learning technology used for personalized cancer treatments;
  • The major Austrian construction company Strabag SE and its joint venture partner in an ICSID arbitration against the Federal Republic of Germany under the Energy Charter Treaty. The claims arise in connection with changes to Germany's regulatory framework applicable to the offshore wind energy sector.
  • The German financial services provider Portigon AG (formerly WestLB) in an ICSID arbitration brought under the Energy Charter Treaty against the Kingdom of Spain. the dispute arises out of Spain's changes to its feed-in-tariff regime for renwable energy.
