Freshfields advises EQT on divestment of Schülke & Mayr
Global law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer advises private equity house EQT on the divestment of Schülke & Mayr, a leading provider of infection prevention and treatment solutions for the healthcare industry. The transaction is expected to close during the fourth quarter of 2023, following the obtainment of the necessary regulatory approvals.
Freshfields advises EQT extensively on the divestment process across jurisdictions, including in particular on regulatory issues in connection with the transaction.
Freshfields already advised EQT from Munich as well as London, Paris, Rome and Vienna in connection with the acquisition of Schülke & Mayr from Air Liquide.
Schülke is a key partner to the healthcare industry with an almost 135-year heritage of developing holistic and mission-critical infection prevention and treatment solutions. It supplies hospitals and other healthcare institutions with high quality disinfectants and antisepsis products. It also sells to the pharmacy and direct patient care channels, as well as the global life science industry. Schülke is headquartered in Norderstedt, Germany, employs approximately 1,200 people, and generates sales in more than 80 countries with market leading positions in Central and Eastern Europe, Australia and Brazil.
